Package: steam Version: 1.0.0.52-3 Severity: important The internal browser doesn't seem to be working: the loading icon just keeps spinning for minutes on end with no result. This breaks the login help (password recovery) to viewing the store and wishlist and probably many other features dependent on the internal browser. Accessing the Steam store with an external browser (like Firefox) is working fine.
I've just installed Steam via aptitude (apt-get) today and it automatically updated to the newest version upon opening. Features that don't depend on the browser seem to be working, from configuring settings to activating big picture mode. I have no games yet so I can't test related stuff. I just decided to install Steam today after looking at their Linux game collection and I was thrilled to see Debian has a package for it - in the official repository nonetheless :) Thanks to the mantainers, hope you can fix this soon! -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages steam depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.59 ii libc6 2.23-2 ii libgl1-mesa-dri 11.2.2-1 ii libgl1-mesa-glx 11.2.2-1 ii libstdc++6 6.1.1-10 ii libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0 [libtxc-dxtn0] 0~git20131104-1.1 ii libudev1 230-7 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.3-1 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.3-1+b1 ii xz-utils 5.1.1alpha+20120614-2.1 Versions of packages steam recommends: ii fonts-liberation 1.07.4-1 ii konsole [x-terminal-emulator] 4:16.04.2-1 ii xterm [x-terminal-emulator] 325-1 ii zenity 3.20.0-1 Versions of packages steam suggests: pn steam-devices <none> -- debconf information excluded
