Package: eric Version: 5.4.5-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I installed eric 5 and tried to open the plugin repository. It gives an parsing error for ~/.eric5/PluginRepository because it gets HTML back (giving the URL for the eric6 plugin repository) instead of the format it expected. I tried changing the configuration to use the eric6 plugin repository and it allows me to install the plugins but it results in error messages and they don't work. Eric 6 needs to become stable ASAP to fix this. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages eric depends on: ii bicyclerepair 0.9-6.1 ii python-chardet 2.3.0-1 ii python3-pygments 2.0.1+dfsg-1.1+deb8u1 ii python3-pyqt4 4.11.2+dfsg-1 ii python3-pyqt4.qsci 2.8.4+dfsg-1 ii python3-pyqt4.qtsql 4.11.2+dfsg-1 Versions of packages eric recommends: ii eric-api-files 5.4.5-1 Versions of packages eric suggests: pn pyqt4-dev-tools <none> pn pyqt5-doc <none> ii python [python-profiler] 2.7.9-1 pn python-doc <none> pn python-kde4-doc <none> pn python-qt4-doc <none> pn qt4-designer <none> pn qt4-dev-tools <none> pn qt4-doc-html <none> pn qt5-doc <none> ii ruby 1:2.1.5+deb8u2 -- no debconf information
