Dear Maintainer, This has been a problem earlier with the intel driver. If "Broadcast RGB" was set to auto, my screen connected via displayport was set to limited color space (16-235). I changed this by running "xrandr --output DP1 --set "Broadcast RGB" "Full"" Somewhen later this was fixed in the driver and the command wasn't required anymore. However without the intel driver now, this command seems to be required again. The display name is now DP-1 instead of DP1: xrandr --output DP-1 --set "Broadcast RGB" "Full" It would be better of course if the autodetection was fixed at first, but I don't know how any of this works. I don't think there is any DisplayPort device that requires limited color space (Or DP-HDMI-Converters maybe?) Intel Haswell i5-4690K Intel HD 4600 graphics. ~$ xrandr --verbose Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 8192 x 8192 DP-1 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (0x48) normal (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 510mm x 287mm Identifier: 0x43 Timestamp: 4296682 Subpixel: unknown Gamma: 1.0:1.0:1.0 Brightness: 1.0 Clones: HDMI-1 CRTC: 0 CRTCs: 0 1 2 Transform: 1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000 filter: EDID: 00ffffffffffff0015c3682001010101 14150104a5331d78e2ee95a3544c9926 0f5054a1080081808140b30081c00101 010101010101023a801871382d40582c 4500fe1f1100001e000000ff00373436 39373035310a20202020000000fd003b 3d1f440f000a202020202020000000fc 00455632333333570a20202020200142 020318c0440102030423097f07830100 0066030c00100080d50980a020e02d10 1060a200fe1f110000188c0ad08a20e0 2d10103e9600fe1f110000188c0ad08a 20e02d10103e9600fe1f11000018011d 007251d01e206e285500fe1f1100001e 00000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000033 Broadcast RGB: Full supported: Automatic, Full, Limited 16:235 audio: auto supported: force-dvi, off, auto, on -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages xserver-common depends on: ii x11-common 1:7.7+16 ii x11-xkb-utils 7.7+3 ii xkb-data 2.17-1 Versions of packages xserver-common recommends: ii xauth 1:1.0.9-1 ii xfonts-base 1:1.0.4+nmu1 xserver-common suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
