While I happen to agree that debian/ is best kept out of upstream
distributions, this is a matter for how the packager wants to organise
his/her cooperation with upstream, and none of lintian's business.
Furthermore, in my opinion there should not be lintian warnings that
cannot be fixed at all in the Debian packaging.
