Package: certbot Version: 0.8.0-1~bpo8+2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Running "apt-get purge certbot" deletes the entire /etc/letsencrypt directory. This is not correct, purge is supposed to remove only files that are part of the packaging. I was trying to re-install certbot, and now I've lost my entire setup and all the certs. Expected outcome: apt-get purge should remove all files that are included in the package distribution, but should not touch configuration files that were modified or files that were created during setup. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
