This is probably not relevant any more, but it looks like the fsck could be getting killed while trying to allocate memory. Taking into account the size of the filesystems (2.5TB) the fsck might need several GB of RAM to load the required metadata into memory. It is also quite possible this is fixed in newer versions of ocfs2-tools.
