Good!

You know replacing install with dh_installman for the man pages would
have placed them correctly? I noticed you used debhelper for some other
packaging tasks, so you might or migth not want to use more of them in
the future if it simplifies and keeps bugs away.

I understand if you would like to reuse as much of upstream install
scripts as possible, and that not using debhelper unless needed. This
was only intended to be helpful information, no need to discuss it with
me further. Unless, of course, you would want to discuss packaging
issues with a novice like me. (:
