Package: libboost-log1.55.0 Version: 1.55.0+dfsg-3 Severity: normal File: libboost-log
Dear Maintainer, I am trying to cross compile an application that uses libboost_log. My host system is has the amd64 architecture and the target system a armhf architecture. I tried to install both packages with: $ sudo apt-get install libboost-log1.55.0 sudo apt-get install libboost-log1.55.0:amd64 libboost-log1.55.0:armhf The response: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: libboost-log1.55.0 : Conflicts: libboost-log1.55.0:armhf but 1.55.0+dfsg-3 is to be installed libboost-log1.55.0:armhf : Conflicts: libboost-log1.55.0 but 1.55.0+dfsg-3 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. The response is misleading because i do not have held broken packages. I did use: sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade But that didn't resolve anything (logically). -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: armhf Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libboost-log1.55.0 depends on: ii libboost-chrono1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-date-time1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-filesystem1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-system1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-thread1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u4 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.2-10 ii libstdc++6 4.9.2-10 libboost-log1.55.0 recommends no packages. libboost-log1.55.0 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
