Hi Andreas and Axel, I have imported this library into Git, updated to the latest upstream version, migrated to debhelper, fixed the RC bug and cleaned it up to being lintian clean. See https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/users/satta/libgetopt-mixed-perl.git/
I would be willing to contribute this to the Perl team and also ‘maintain’ it (unlikely to have upstream updates anytime soon though). My changes are currently formatted as NMU, has anyone already contacted the current maintainer directly?
