I'm not sure what do you mean by stable here. The current stable? The next stable? Whether this is suitable for jessie at this point would be for the release managers to decide, not me. Also, I hope people will not really expect this variable to be "stretch" in stretch and "sid" in sid, because that's not possible given how migration from unstable to testing works. What should we do if I put "stretch" and a user of sid says it's "wrong"? Would you still consider the string useful in such case? Thanks.
