I don't know. Sparc architecture has been dropped in jessie, maybe even in wheezy, I don't remember already, and dropped in a way that it didn't land in ports.debian.org. Sparc64 hasn't been a release architecture for a few releases too, but it is still present and kind of supported in ports.d.o. You can file a bug against www.debian.org pseudo-package to sort this out, but this obviously have nothing to do with debootstrap or qemu. > Why is there an interpreter for it when `update-binfmts --display`? There are many interpreters registered by qemu. In there, there are multiple architectures which has never been supported by debian at all.
