I have the same problem. John , do you use kernel 2.4.x ? ( it is the default, so if you did not specify anything extra, then you ended up with 2.4.x )
It seems the 2.4 kernel is lacking the PDC driver. Or it is not in the initramdisk image. So the kaernel ccan not find your disk. The workaround for me is either : - use kernel 2.6.x ( start the install CD with "linux26" ) or - use the d-i installer RC2 "netinst" boot CD to start the installation Regards, David Balazic ---------------------------------------------------------------- Varno.
