And when OpenSSL 1.1 is uploaded to unstable, we can backport the upstream patch if Hydra 8.3 is not yet released at that time. I looked at the git repository... unfortunately you created a new repository from scratch while the package already had a long history in collab-maint. So I dropped your new repository, copied over the collab-maint repository and I imported the work you did for 8.2 on top of the old history. I also made a little change in debian/rules since it's not needed to export CFLAGS/CPPFLAGS/LDFLAGS manually. "dh" does it for you.
