This seems to be a mistake in this commit: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-multimedia/ffmpeg.git/commit/?id=05259d74326295ba6fb20930dba104f93ebdbf71 The commit intended to enable opencv everywhere, but actually disabled it by removing the configure option! Thanks, James
