Package: initscripts
Version: 2.86.ds1-10
Severity: normal

Hi,

on this system, I use a swapfile instead of a swap partition. The
/etc/fstab file contains this line:

/swapfile none swap defaults 0 0

When the system boots, I see the following error message, that is also
logged in /var/log/boot:

Wed Jan 4 11:52:20 2006: .
Wed Jan 4 11:52:20 2006: Setting parameters of disc: /dev/hdc.
Wed Jan 4 11:52:20 2006: Will now activate swap.
Wed Jan 4 11:52:20 2006: swapon: /swapfile: Read-only file system
Wed Jan 4 11:52:20 2006: ^[[31m*^[[39;49m Swap activation failed with error
code 255.
Wed Jan 4 11:52:20 2006: Will now check root file system.
[...]

When the boot is finished, the swap is active:

$ free
[...]
Swap: 524280 301836 222444

so this bug is only cosmetic, but it still deserves to be fixed.
