The issue appears to be that <libcork/config/config.h> doesn't recognize
either OS.  Per https://sourceforge.net/p/predef/mailman/message/30141549/,
kFreeBSD systems predefine __FreeBSD_kernel__, and Hurd systems predefine
__gnu_hurd__.

You can request a temporary guest account:

In this case, you can also install either OS in a local VM.  (You could
technically also use qemu to test non-x86 builds, but much more slowly.)
