>Sorry, I don't have a sid system at hand so I can't confirm it, but I've found similar reports such as: #799890 policykit-1: Shutdown/reboot requires authentication #799773 Restart, Suspend, Hibernate, Shut Down all greyed out in lightdm After seeing 799773 I checked lightdm and its restart option is greyed out as well.
