I'm not sure what triggers it, because at the beginning of a session, when I just logged in, it works perfectly, but after some time, switching windows with Alt-Tab makes Marco crash and restart. Upstream changelog mentions "Fix crash on showing alt-tab thumbnails with compositor on" for version 1.14.1; apparently it wasn't really fixed, or the bug is triggered by something else, or it's a regression. Indeed, composition is enabled, and disabling it makes the bug disappear; likewise, when composition is enabled, changing the value of the "compositing-fast-alt-tab" key from false (default) to true also makes the bug disappear (along with the thumbnails).
