I'm not sure but I think these are issues related to the enabled GTK3
support in Icedove 45.0~b2. I haven't access to a installed version 45.x
right now so I can't check.
Happily Christoph was able to collect all things to upload yesterday the
actual version 45.1.0-1 to unstable/sid. There we switches back to GTK2
because Mozilla isn't using GTK3 for the 45.x ESR versions.
The build looks fine for now so maybe you can the booth issues against
the new version in unstable?

Thanks!
Carsten
