Package: systemd Version: 215-17+deb8u4 Followup-For: Bug #803013 Dear Maintainer,
It seems that an option Delegate=yes was introduced upstream, but this does not seem to be available in Jessie. The current mode of operation for systemd is to destroy all the cgroup subtree of a service in e.g. memory controller. I use SLURM scheduler that utilizes cgroups to maintain resource limits and every time when I reload configuration followed by a restart of any service unit, my memory:/ controller gets cleaned and all processes are moved to the root (interestingly, the tree is still there, but tasks files are emptied). Interesting fact is that this was apparently fixed before, here is an entry from a package log: systemd (215-13) unstable; urgency=medium [ Christian Seiler ] * core: Don't migrate PIDs for units that may contain subcgroups. This stops messing up lxc/libvirt/other custom cgroup layouts after daemon-reload. (Closes: #777164) And now we are back again facing the same problems.
