Package: vim-common Version: 1:6.4-006+1 When installing vim-common on a fresh, clean chroot with a base Debian system (sid), created with debootstrap, and without installing vim at the same time, the alternatives related to vi are modified. I think this is overly optimistic: they should be modified only after vim actually is installed.
(For what it's worth: I noticed this because it causes piuparts testing of vim-common to fail, because the symlinks change to point to vim, but are not restored upon package removal.) -- Do or do not.
