Package: mutt Version: 1.6.0-1 Severity: normal The recent version 1.6.0-1 ignores both ~/.mailcap and /etc/mailcap files. At least for text/html entries.
cat >> ~/.mailcap <<EOF text/html; /usr/bin/lynx -dump -force_html %s; copiousoutput; description=HTML Text; nametemplate=%s.html EOF In mutt use 'v'iew to view the mime structure. Select a text/html attachment. Use Enter to view the attachment. Instead of invoking the mailcap specified handler mutt displays the raw attachment. It doesn't seem to matter whether the mailcap handling uses lynx, links, elinks, w3m, or others. I tried various but none are invoked by mutt 1.6.0-1. I also tried moving the entries in /etc/mailcap but that file is similarly ignored. The previous version 1.5.24-1 works in this regard. Reverting to 1.5.24-1 allows text viewing of text/html messages. Pulling the previous version from snapshot.debian.net and downgrading to it restored this feature to working order. Thank you for maintaining mutt in Debian. I wish I had caught this bug before mutt migrated into Testing. Drat!
