Hi Charles,
MaxDB on PowerPC requires a 64bit environment while Debian only has
32bit afaik, so getting it to run with Debian on PowerPC can't be done
with a simple compile but would come close to a proper port of MaxDB
(although probably a lot of the pieces are already available somewhere
in the code).
In addition, although you managed to build the maxdb-buildtools package
I wouldn't count on it being set up correctly for your environment, so
in case you still want to try building, you should probably first verify
that the buildtools setup is correct.
I am sorry, but currently I have neither the time nor the hardware to go
and try to do a MaxDB port myself.
