Package: vim Version: 1:6.4-006+1 Followup-For: Bug #348193 By replacing the content of the /usr/share/vim/vim64 directory with the content from the the vim-runtime files at www.vim.org the error went away. I therefore suspect there is something wrong with the runtime files of the debian version or that the debian version is not up to date with upstream version.
