Dear Maintainer, I see similar behavior in evolution-ews, connecting Evolution to an MS Exchange server (2010?) via https://"exchangeserver.com"/EWS/Exchange.asmx
The work around in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1327072 is to rename /usr/bin/ntlm_auth, which allows Evolution to authenticate w/ Exchange.
