It is pretty simple to make them maintained again and they are useful so I don't see why they should be removed, but your mind seems made up. > See also #813581 regarding the submit-patch script. That looks pretty easy to fix once python-requests is fixed. So maybe fix it in the source but don't distribute it in the binary package until the fix for python-requests reaches Debian.
