I have previously reported a wishlist item for less()ing or tail()ing
files from the list of open files of a process as produced by lsof:

        https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=641929

This report was tagged WONTFIX on the grounds that showing files goes
beyond the scope of a _process_ viewer. I can agree with this rationale.

However, a typical scenario of (my) htop use is to inspect processes to
find out which (say log-) files they have open -- in order to inspect
the content of those files. I also run gpm courtesy of which I can
copy-paste file paths from htop's lsof screen into another console for
running less on that file. However, while positioning the mouse cursor
for selecting a path to copy-paste the list of open files may change and
thereby the position of the desired path to copy-paste moves away from
under the mouse cursor. This can get rather irritating on processes busy
opening/closing files :-)

Hence my desire to be able to "freeze" InfoScreen instances - after which
they don't auto-refresh anymore until "unfreeze" is commanded.

Makes sense ?

(BTW, this applies to all screens, except the lsof one makes for a good
example)

Thanks for considering,
Karsten
