Sorry, forgot one very important part, I also have the following in the kernel cmdline: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet vga=normal nomodeset" I looked up my notes, and either the GRUB/cmdline configuration or just disabling the integrated Intel card in the BIOS solved the issue that time. Just tried again and it's still the case with the very latest NVIDIA drivers. Kind regards, Luca Boccassi
