Package: totem Version: 3.18.1-2+b1 Followup-For: Bug #819594 Dear Maintainer,
I confirm this bug is present, and renders totem useless: we cannot play any video file any more. To reproduce, just run totem whatevervideoyouhave and you will immediately see it. Looking around, it seems this bug comes from a bad interaction with components of gstreamer, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1300125 and in particular https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=760234 This appears to be fixed in RedHat now: may we get a fix in our preferred distribution too? :-) -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.4.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ia_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ia_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.utf8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages totem depends on: ii gnome-icon-theme 3.12.0-1 ii gnome-icon-theme-symbolic 3.12.0-1 ii grilo-plugins-0.2 0.2.17-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.18.1-1 ii gstreamer1.0-clutter-3.0 3.0.18-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad 1.6.3-1+b2 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-base 1.6.3-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-good 1.6.3-1 ii gstreamer1.0-x 1.6.3-1 ii libc6 2.22-5 ii libcairo2 1.14.6-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.32.3-1.2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.48.0-1 ii libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 1.6.3-1 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.8.0-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.18.9-1 ii libnautilus-extension1a 3.18.5-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.38.1-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.38.1-1 ii libtotem-plparser18 3.10.6-4 ii libtotem0 3.18.1-2+b1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.3-1 ii totem-common 3.18.1-2 Versions of packages totem recommends: ii gstreamer1.0-libav 1.8.0-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly 1.6.3-1 ii gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio 1.6.3-1 ii totem-plugins 3.18.1-2+b1 Versions of packages totem suggests: pn gnome-codec-install <none> -- no debconf information
