Package: lxpanel Version: 0.7.2-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
I installed an application (the debian "pithos" package), but Pithos does not show up in the list of available applications in the LXDE application launchbar settings panel unless I manually add the line "Version=1.0" to pithos.desktop. The spec on freedesktop.org[1] lists the Version key as "optional", and there are no defined values other than "1.0", so I think this a bug in the application launchbar rather than an error in the pithos desktop file. The desktop file should be recognized regardless of whether it contains a Version key. As an experiment, I removed the Version line from gimp.desktop and it stopped showing up in the launchbar configuration dialog (but reappeared when I re-added it), so I don't think this is specific to anything about Pithos.
