When I try to name a new file or rename an existing one, dead keys do not work on the file name field that pops up. If I type "<dead_acute> a" I get "a" instead of "á". My custom compose sequences also don't work. If I type "<Multi_key> g a" I get "ga" instead of the "α" that I was expecting (I configured that sequence in my .XCompose file). I can only input accented characters in Thunar if I type them with AltGr (for example, "AltGr+," = "ç") or if I copy paste them from some other application where I can write my accented characters the regular way. I also noticed that the "Go->Open Location" also doesn't handle dead keys very well and suspect that this problem might show up on other text fields as well.
