Package: upower Version: 0.99.1-3.3 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer, In debian jessie with gnome-shell the battery icon remain in the top bar forever even if I unplug it. This is really bad since sometimes I unplugged AC power without battery. This is caused by a bug in the upower package reported here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86144
It is possible to use the first two patch ("daemon: Update display device when battery is removed" and "daemon: Split out updating on_battery and warning_level") mentioned in the bug report to make it work on debian jessie. I just applyed those two patch rebuilded upower and it works. Is it possible to include the two patch in the package shipped with jessie? -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=it_IT.utf8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages upower depends on: ii dbus 1.8.20-0+deb8u1 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u4 ii libdbus-1-3 1.8.20-0+deb8u1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.102-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.1-1+b1 ii libgudev-1.0-0 215-17+deb8u4 ii libimobiledevice4 1.1.6+dfsg-3.1 ii libplist2 1.11-3 ii libupower-glib3 0.99.1-3.3 ii libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.19-1 ii udev 215-17+deb8u4 Versions of packages upower recommends: ii policykit-1 0.105-8 upower suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
