Package: anteater
Version: 0.4.5-2
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

thanks for packaging anteater!

Looking at the manpage, I could see the need for some examples: anteater
has lots of options, and it'd be nice to put as examples some of the
most common invocations.

My case is this: I've just installed anteater and I'd like to run it to
have a simple HTML page with all the available statistics. I go in the
manpage and I see that I'd need to study half an hour to get it, where
I'd happily have copied an example.

Another useful thing would be an example cron.d file to have a nightly
run of anteater.

Another thing that I didn't find is an example of how to cope with log
rotation, to avoid missing the sample data between the anteater
invocation and the log rotation. Would anteater be able to read from
multiple files?

Finally, the manpage documentation for --filter-syslog is not explaining
what the switch does:

  --filter-syslog
            Switch to this filter.

Ciao,

Enrico
