Package: ibritish
Version: 3.1.20.0-4
Severity: normal

ibritish has adopted the common misconception that every word in
American with the -ize ending should be spelt with -ise (for example
authorize). This is not the case. There are a few words for which it
does apply (for example franchise) but mostly -ize is the correct
suffix.

See http://dictionary.oed.com/cgi/entry/50122648 for the etymology.
