Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.20.0-2 Severity: important Steps to reproduce: 0. Configure gnome-terminal to start at 80x24, the default 1. Log in to GNOME (Wayland) session; I'm using gnome-session 3.20 where this is just called "GNOME" 2. Open gnome-terminal 3. Press Enter 4. Move input focus to some other window, e.g. xterm 5. Move input focus back 6. Change window size with Ctrl-plus, Ctrl-minus
Expected result: 2-5. Terminal is 80x24 6. Terminal resizes normally Actual result: 2. Terminal starts at what looks like 80x24, then size jumps to somewhat larger (maybe 100x30) 3. Terminal becomes around 10% larger in each dimension 4. Terminal becomes around 10% larger in each dimension 5. Terminal becomes around 10% larger in each dimension 6. After each resize, terminal becomes larger than the resized dimensions This might be a regression caused by patching the resize behaviour back in (#819712).
