Hi again, it was not too late after all :-)
The binaries for Xorg 6.9 contained in the ati-installer package (the large one) indeed work with sid's Xorg, they just need to be put in the .deb. Telling the ati-installer that sid now uses 6.9 and creating the debian packages with ati-installer worked fine (using these commands:) ./ati-driver-installer-8.20.8-i386.run --extract fglrx-tmp cd fglrx-tmp $editor packages/Debian/ati-packager.sh # in the line "sid|unstable) X_DIR=x680;;", put a x690 for the x680 ./fglrx-tmp/packages/Debian/ati-packager.sh --buildpkg sid cd .. sudo dpkg -i fglrx-kernel-src_8.20.8-1_i386.deb fglrx-driver_8.20.8-1_i386.deb But i assume for your official package you'll want to retain the RPM-in-orig-tar pragma, so I guess you can create a rpm package with the 6.9 libs in a similar way. Thanks for packaging the driver!
