Package: atheme-services
Followup-For: Bug #747389

I have looked into updating atheme-services, as you may have noticed
from the upload to experimental, which now features 7.0.7. Although
there are some bugs in there (#76914, namely), I haven't had any
negative comments or bug reports, so I will probably upload it to sid
now.

However, 7.0.7 is still not the latested release: 7.1 and 7.2 releases
came out. Now, I tried to build those but they are not as easy as 7.0:
the libmowgli-2 library needs to be updated from 2.0 to 2.1. And the
problem here is that 2.1 has never been released upstream: atheme are
just tracking mowgli as a submodule in git. I reported this upstream:

https://github.com/atheme/libmowgli-2/issues/36

... but I am concerned that we are doing this the wrong way: as far as
I know, atheme is the *only* package depending on libmowgli... yet
mowgli has a completely different maintainer than Atheme.

Furthermore, there's some confusion in the mowgli packages in Debian:
libmowgli2 is actually mowgli 1.0, while libmowgli-2 is 2.0.0 (note
the dash). Atheme 6.x depends on mowgli 1.0 and 7.0 and above on
mowgli 2.0 or 2.1, depending on the version.2.

So I am not sure how to deal with this: do we want to start
maintaining libmowgli? Should libmowgli2 1.0 be removed from sid once
atheme 6 is gone, since no other package depends on it?
