Package: firefox-esr
Version: 45.0esr-2
Severity: wishlist

It'd be nice if the package long description explained the difference
between firefox and firefox-esr. I don't think the average user should
be assumed to know what ESR is.

I believe the plan is to only have ESR in stable.

Maybe something along the lines of:

This is the Extended Support Release (ESR). It receives security and
major bug fixes, but not new features. The most recent non-ESR
release is available in the firefox package; see README.Debian for
        instructions.

and

This is the most recent release of Firefox. The Extended Support
Release, which receives only security and major bug fixes but not
new features, is availabe in the firefox-esr package.

obviously, README.Debian would need to gain a paragraph explaining that
stable users can get the firefox package by visiting
http://mozilla.debian.net/ and following the instructions there.
(Alternatively, I guess that could go in the description).
