I would also like to be able to log off the record conversations, because that would allow me to enable it for every random conversation including the ones about kitten pictures, kitchen recipes (which I may want to save), and work instructions (that I *have* to keep for reference, at least until the job they talk about is done). I could leave OTR off for most of them (but that would show what the important conversations are) and copypaste the other ones as I have them (but that's just like logging, except it takes manual work). There is a wide range between "privatish, I wouldn't want this to be intercepted and analysed by random people on the internet" and "sensible materials that aren't safe to store even inside your private domicile". -- Elena ``of Valhalla''
