* What led up to the situation?
a few months ago pcmanfm started missing the first typed letter of a
filename, therefore selecting the wrong file in view.
On opening pcmanfm, first time typing folder name it would miss first
letter, then when navigating through directories, sometimes would capture whole
typed filename and sometimes again miss letter. not sure what's changing this.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
stopped using keyboard to locate files
* What was the outcome of this action?
less functionality. I used keystrokes to navigate directory structures
quickly.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
usual great functionality. I love this program and have used it for my
whole PhD and more.
