Package: dh-python Version: 2.20151103 Severity: wishlist User: de...@kali.org Usertags: origin-kali
When I call "dh --with python3" it's because I know that the package is built with Python3 and I know that dh_python3 should do some work... So I would like /usr/share/perl5/Debian/Debhelper/Sequence/python3.pm to call dh_python3 with a new flag like "--fail-if-no-python3-package-found" so that the helper scripts fails loudly instead of doing nothing silently when it's not able to identify the Python3 package(s) on which it is supposed to act... The error message should explain clearly that it acts only on packages whose name start with python3- and on packages which have "${python3:Depends}" in their Depends line.
