Hi, Because the toolchain to build the bios is non-free, which causes the whole virtualbox is unable to put in main repository. I just want to point out the possibility about that. ok thanks for that, let me explain what I think about the issue (note: the issue is older than my virtualbox adoption, so I might be wrong). The virtualbox firmware/bios is completely open source, the problem here is that the *compiler* (open watcom) is only "freeware" and not open source, and the open source alternatives are not capable of building it, at least they weren't some months ago, when I tried them. If you have a different opinion, or progresses please let me know, I tried many times to put it back to main, but I couldn't build anything :( cheers, G.
