Another issue with pulseaudio 8.0.1 is gone on downgrade to 7.1-2~bpo8+1. I had troubles with VLC. Changing Volume makes VLC stuttering, it causes problems in the video (not only sound), and sometimes vlc stops playing the video. Some underflow-errors where reportet in the output.
Downgrading pulse to backport-versions solved this issue with vlc also.
