Package: aptitude Version: 0.7.7-1 Severity: important Hi, with 0.7.7, "aptitude -u" no more works: It shows the error message "E: The package cache is not available; unable to download and install packages." and then displays an empty package list.
Fixed now, marking as +pending.
Workaround is to call just "aptitude" and then press "U" (Shift-U).
Hmm, 'U' is to mark upgradable packages to be upgraded, while 'u' is to perform the update-source-lists, the equivalent of "-u" in the command line. Cheers. -- Manuel A. Fernandez Montecelo <manuel.montez...@gmail.com>
