Hi! The 1.28-1 upload introduced a very useful option for the reproducible effort, but very unfortunately this option is Debian-specific, which makes it unusable for use in something like dpkg, as I'd rather not repeat the «gzip --rsyncable» situation. :/ I'd appreciate if this option could be upstreamed so that I can start using it in dpkg. There's been a recent attempt here: <https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-tar/2016-01/msg00000.html> although sending to bug-tar might have been more appropriate. Thanks, Guillem
