Please rebase your patch on 7.0.28-3. And I'd like to see individual patches again :-)
NACK on using a python script instead of a quilt patch - usually that was trivial to update, last time something like s/"5 Sep 2014"/"18 Feb 2015"/ was sufficient. Please leave the comments about removed symbols in the .symbols files Andreas
