What needs to happen to petsc? It is only in sid, but its RC bug #803477 was recently fixed and it now appears to be a valid candidate for migration. It will need a rebuild for the openmpi transition. Petsc is needed by some of the level 5 and level 6 dependencies; slepc, aster, dolfin. I expect that petsc will FTBFS on powerpc, see bug #814183.
