The POWER8 processors use VMX to accelerate cryptographic functions. Linux supports the use of VMX for cryptographic acceleration, however Debian does not build this module, leaving users of some systems (e.g. OpenPOWER) unable to reach rated bandwidths e.g. in OpenSSL. Please enable the VMX cryptographic extensions module with CONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_VMX=m in the kernel configuration. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iFYEARELAAYFAlayfr0ACgkQLaxZSoRZrGG7jgDeJP6HVdTmuRbnBrMdM9JKxLFS V0e4BLuRB2qp8gDdHQ2pcqsHPF1uxHHMag5N7c8GZgGv0N0a5vEgYQ== =epAE -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
