We don't update packages in stable repositories unless there's a specific, important security issue or bug that needs fixing. Do you have a particular problem with the version in Jessie, beyond the fact that it's old? I.e., is there a game you can't play with the version in Jessie? Once 4.7 migrates to Debian testing I'll add it to the Jessie backports (see http://backports.debian.org/ for details). Regards, Stephen
