Unfortunately I've tried very hard with freshly wrought release/testing/unstable distributions, both from DVDs and totally up to date over the network, and totally failed to produce this problem, with versions of the various packages both earlier and later than those you advertised. You can send me your crontab if you like, but I doubt this is the problem. Can I ask you to check the situation with the current set of packages in the distribution? If there is still a problem I'd have to ask you to try to debug somewhat yourself, as it is likely a problem with your particular system configuration. Do let me know, however, if I can help further.
